Established by the late King of the Karangasem kingdom, Tirta Gangga Water Palace was only open for the royal family since it was meant to be a bathing place for the king and his family. The name translates to the water of the Ganges River; water (tirta) and Ganges River (Gangga).

  The palace features tiered fountains, gardens, and stone sculptures of mythical creatures sprouting water into bathing pools. You can walk through the footsteps on the ponds, that look like floating, and feed the fishes in it. The main attraction of Tirta Gangga is the holy spring, which is believed to hold sacred water with healing properties. Locals and tourists come to immerse themselves in the clear, cool waters, seeking blessings and rejuvenation. It is advised to dress appropriately when visiting the water palace. It is customary to cover your shoulders and knees as a sign of respect. Be prepared to bring a towel and spare clothes if you plan to bathe in the holy springs.

Cara Menuju Candidasa

Candidasa terletak di pesisir timur Bali, sekitar 64 km dari Bandara Internasional Ngurah Rai Bali, yang berlokasi di bagian selatan pulau. Dibutuhkan sekitar 90 menit hingga 2 jam untuk mencapai Candidasa dengan mobil, tergantung pada lalu lintas dan musim turis.

Karena jaraknya, sangat disarankan untuk mengatur transportasi dengan sopir sebelum kalian tiba di Bali. Di bandara, para sopir akan mengenakan harga yang sangat tinggi untuk perjalanan jarak jauh seperti ini.
