Day by Day
Discover your day-by-day itinerary below. We try to keep it balanced, with experiences that are on many couple’s wishlists, while allowing for enough free and relaxing time as well. However, every couple is different, if you feel something is missing, it’s too fast or too slow, just let us know. This is your honeymoon after all!
📅 Day 1: Welcome to Bali 🌴
- Your friendly Balinese driver will welcome you at the airport with a welcome package to celebrate the start of your honeymoon.
- Depending on traffic, it takes around 2 hour drive to get to the beautiful countryside of Sidemen, but it is worth the drive! You'll start your honeymoon directly in an authentic Bali region full of natural beauty.
- You probably would prefer to rest after a long flight. Fortunately a luxurious Glamping Tent is waiting for you at the highly rated 5-star Wapa di Ume resort. No worries, your tent has air-conditioning and a comfy bathroom, this is glamping - not camping!
- Your tent will be decorated with flowers on arrival to start your honeymoon in style.
- You'll be done with your jetlag in no time in the multi-layered infinity pool overlooking the rice fields and on-premise panorama restaurant.
📅 Day 2: Dinner & Massage 💖
- Its your first full day in Bali, lets take it easy! Take some more time to enjoy the resort, you won't have to leave at all! In the afternoon we have arranged a Couple Massage in the Kapha Spa and a 3-Course Dinner with candles and flower decorations. A bottle of wine is included.
- Energized already? Join the complimentary morning rice field walk organized by the Wapa di Ume resort. We suggest walking down to the river, it's really scenic. Your stay also comes with free daily afternoon tea.
- If you do want to explore already, there is a lot to see in walking distance of the resort. Your booklet contains tips for the surrounding area. Otherwise, your real adventure starts tomorrow!
📅 Day 3: Bali by raft and more adventures 🛶
- The best (and most spectacular) way to see the Sidemen region is by raft on the Telaga Waja river. Your driver will pick you up after breakfast for a 2.5-hour rafting experience.
- The 14KM long river is quite mellow with a few more rapid bits and one 4 meter high dam to slide from, but the most unique part of this experience is the scenery. Expect jungle, waterfalls and rice fields!
- At the end of the rafting, you will enjoy a simple Indonesian buffet lunch (included). There are showers too and towels will be provided, so you have a chance to refresh.
- In the afternoon, you can pick an activity of choice: Make your own silver jewelry in a crafts workshop or a visit the "Insta-famous" scenic Gembleng Waterfall.
- You'll be dropped back at the hotel before dinner. Your booklet contains restaurant suggestions nearby in case you want to try something different than the hotel restaurant.
📅 Day 4: Beach and mountains 🌴
- You've been in Bali for a few days now, but haven't seen any beach yet! After breakfast, you will check out and your driver will take you to one of our favorite beaches in Bali, a real gem: the white-sand Virgin Beach. You'll arrive here around 11AM.
- There are many simple Balinese and Indonesian restaurants on the beach where you can rent a beach bed and get a local lunch, so bring a bit of cash.
- We suggest leaving the beach around 2PM to head to the mountains. Your driver will make a stop at Besakih Great Temple, the most important and holiest Hindu temples in all of Bali. Built almost a kilometer above sea level up the slopes of Mount Agung, this 15th century complex is worth exploring. A guided tour is included.
- You will arrive at your Mount Batur hotel in the late afternoon - enough time to enjoy your Private Hot Spring, but we suggest going to bed early to wake up in time for the sunrise hike...
📅 Day 5: Volcano Sunrise 🌋
- Multiple couples have told us that the sunrise hike up Mount Batur was the highlight of their trip.
- At 3:30 in the night, you are expected to meet your private guide at the meeting point (only 5 minutes walk from your hotel). He will provide you helmets with flashlights for the 1.5 hour ascend in the dark up Mount Batur.
- Once at the top, you will watch the sun rise from the East, a spectacular sight. On bright days you can see as far as Rinjani Mountain in Lombok.
- Couples that don't feel like hiking can upgrade to a Sunrise Jeep trip, just let us know.
- You'll be back down again around 8AM, we suggest having a nap first!
- In the afternoon, you may have energy to check out the Batur Natural Hot Springs, a 5 minute walk from your hotel. They get very busy in the morning after the hike, so the afternoon is a good time to visit.
📅 Day 6: To the Gili Islands 🏝️
- Your stay in Batur does not include breakfast, so your driver will pick you up early and make a stop at one of the coffeeshops on the Batur Ridge for breakfast (included), before continuing to Padang Bai port. We have booked tickets with the most reliable ferry operator to take you to Gili Trawangan ("Gili T"), part of the Gili Islands, with a large fastboat.
- You will arrive at Gili Trawangan island after a 2-hour ferry ride in the afternoon. The small island does not allow motorized traffic, the only way to get around is by foot, bycycle or horsecart. Fortunately your stay includes bicycles, so you'll easily be able to explore all beaches and areas of the island.
- Gili T features a lively main street with restaurants, shops and bars, but your hotel is on the calmer side of the island on a perfect spot to watch the sunset.
- Into nightlife? Gili Trawangan has parties going on every night. While your hotel is a bit away from the action, it is easy to head to town for drinks!
- Would you rather stay at the calmer 🏝️ Gili Air or 🏝️ Gili Meno island? Just schedule a call, we can also organize this honeymoon with stays on either of those, or even mainland Lombok (Senggigi).
📅 Day 7: Snorkel & Beach Club 🤿
- In the morning, discover the underwater world of the Gili Islands on a private 4-hour snorkeling boat trip by traditional Indonesian fishing boat, but one that has a glass bottom!
- Your boat trip uses a simple boat with glass bottom, and will will stop at many spots, and you'll be able to snorkel with large turtles and along beautiful coral reefs.
- In the afternoon we have secured day beds for you at La Cala Beach Club, where you will have 1 million Indonesian Rupia (around US$ 70) free to spend on food and drinks included.
📅 Day 8: Take it easy 🍹
- You are roughly half-way your honeymoon. Take it easy, we did not make any plans for you today. Just do what you feel like!
- If you are keen to explore, check out the booklet that comes with your honeymoon. It contains a lot of suggestions for the Gilis: from coffeeshops to the fish market. Or consider hopping to one of the other Gili Islands, e.g. Gili Meno to visit the BASK beach club.
📅 Day 9: Back to Bali 🛥️
- After breakfast, you'll head back to Bali by ferry, where your private driver will pick you up again.
- Once back in Bali, you can choose between 2 activities on your way from the harbour to Uluwatu.
- Option 1: A guide tour through the Sababay Winery followed by a tasting session (4 glasses of wine with a light set menu).
- Option 2: Enjoy lunch at OMMA Day Club overlooking the spectacular Tegenungan waterfall. You'll enjoy a 3-course lunch in the restaurant, with access to the infinity pool, towels and tickets to the waterfall included. Upgrading to a relaxing Day Bed is possible, just let us know.
- Your driver will take you to check-in at your hotel on the cliffs near Uluwatu.
📅 Day 10: Sunset romance 🌞
- Yesterday was very active, so today is a romantic day. We'll give you some time to relax and enjoy your new hotel in the morning. The hotel has a pool area with spectacular cliff views overlooking the ocean as well as a small private beach that can be reached by stairs (worth checking out!).
- In the afternoon, you will enjoy a romantic couple massage at Senses Spa, followed by a romantic flower bath in a private pool, while you can watch the sun set into the Indian Ocean.
- You won't have to leave the resort at all today, as there is a restaurant with Asian and Western dishes on-site too (not included). If desired, we can arrange transport to Uluwatu town too (not included).
📅 Day 11: Discover Uluwatu 🏄
- You can choose an activity in the morning: either a private beginner surf lesson, or a visit to 121-meter tall Garuda Wisnu Kencana Statue towering over South Bali, with tickets to the top of the statue included (amazing views!).
- You'll have a few more hours to enjoy the facilities in your hotel before your driver will pick you up around 3PM for your final sunset in Uluwatu.
- Your driver will take you to Uluwatu Temple on the cliffs. This is where you will witness a spectacular traditional Balinese Kecak Fire Dance Performance while the sun sets in the distance. Watch out for the monkeys roaming around the Temple Complex!
- Afterwards, the driver can either drop you at the hotel or in Uluwatu town for more varied restaurant options and nightlife.
📅 Day 12: We're gonna miss you! 👋
- Unfortunately no honeymoon can last forever... Based on the departure time of your flight, your driver will pick you up at the hotel and drop you off at the airport. We suggest leaving 3.5 hours before international flights, as traffic can sometimes be bad. You'll probably arrive too early but we rather not have you miss your flight!
- If you want, the driver can make a stop at a massive souvenir shop along the way to the airport, where you can find much better valued memories and gifts than at the airport itself. In that case, we suggest leaving the hotel 4 hours before your flight.
- Let us know if your flight departs late in the evening, we can help arranging a visit to a beach club for your last day (not included in the package).

3 Nights at Wapa di Ume (Sidemen)
You will stay 3 nights in a Luxury Tent at the very highly rated ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-star Wapa di Ume resort in the Sidemen region of East Bali. Check our Sidemen Honeymoon Guide for more information about the beautiful rural region of Sidemen.
- Wapa di Ume is beautifully situated in the countryside valley of Sidemen, surrounded by rice fields and close to Mount Agung.
- This area of Bali is off-the-beaten-path. It is possible to experience the authentic Balinese culture here, while enjoying the luxury of a highly rated 5-star hotel.
- You'll stay in a Luxury Glamping Tent. Don't worry, this is not camping as you know it: your luxury tent features a comfortable bathroom, king bed and air conditioning!
- The resort has all the facilities you need: dine at the panoramic restaurant, get some workout done in the well equipped fitness center, multi-layered infinity pool or join one of the complimentary Yoga sessions (a few times per week).
- Consider upgrading to a Glamping Tent with Private Pool. While we love the glamping experience, Let us know if you rather stay in a normal Lanai Room or upgrade to the Private Pool Villa.
2 Nights at The Lava Bali (Mount Batur)
You will stay 2 nights in a Deluxe Double Room with private Hot Spring at The Lava Bali & Hot Spring near Mount Batur in the Kintamani region. Check our Kintamani Honeymoon Guide for more information about this volcanic region.
- Did you ever stay in a room with private hot spring overlooking a volcanic lake before? This is what you'll experience at The Lava Bali, a highly rated boutique hotel with only a few rooms.
- The boutique hotel is conveniently located in the town next to Batur Lake, a short 2 minute walk away from the start of the sunrise hike. The strategic location allows you to visit
- Do note: breakfast is not included at The Lava, however your sunrise hike will include breakfast. There are no upgrades possible, we already got you the best room!
3 Nights at the Pearl Sunset Resort (Gili Islands)
You will stay 3 nights in a Pearl Art Room at the ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4-star adult-only Pearl Sunset Resort on the island of Gili Trawangan. Check our Gili Islands Honeymoon Guide for more information on the tropical Gili Islands.
- The Pearl Sunset Resort is highly rated and adult-only, so no kids in the pool! We believe its a great place to stay on the island Gili Trawangan, as it is located a bit away from the action on the calmer west side of the island - but with the lively bars and restaurants of Gili T still in walking distance.
- The hotel has its own beachfront bar that gets lively during sunset. On clear days, the sunset over the Lombok strait is spectacular, you may even be able to see Bali's volcanoes in the distance.
- On arrival, we will make sure your room is decorated with romantic honeymoon decorations: flower petals on the bed and more!
- We will include bicycles during your stay, so you can easily explore the island. There is no motorized traffic on the Gili Islands, providing a relaxed atmosphere. We will arrange a private horse cart to take you and your luggage between the port and the hotel.
- You'll stay in a comfortable King Bed Pearl Art Suite. The room is spacious (45sqm/480sqf), and has a view over the resort. If you're lucky you may even have ocean views from your balcony! A great a-la-carte breakfast at the elevated Cloud9 Bamboo Restaurant overlooking the ocean is included.
3 Nights at the Biu Biu Resort (north of Uluwatu)
You will stay 3 nights in a Cabin Lodge at the ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4-star Biu Biu Resort. Check our Uluwatu Honeymoon Guide for more information on the south Bali cliffs and beaches of Uluwatu.
- The Biu Biu resort is a cliffside resort facing the Indian Ocean, strategically located in South Bali between the lively towns of Jimbaran and Uluwatu (both 15 minutes drive away). The hotel is mostly visited by couples, due to its romantic views, the Senses massage spa down the cliffs and pool area facing the sunset.
- The resort is located on a cliff facing west, overlooking the Indian Ocean, allowing you to watch the sunset. Don't miss out on the small but spectacular white-sand beach with wild waves, which can be reached by following the stairs down from the cliff. While technically this beach is not fully private, when we visited there was no one else there.
- Your stay includes a super-romantic flower bath and 80-minute long couples massage at the Senses Spa overlooking the ocean.
- You'll stay in a rustic Bali-style private wooden cabin. The cabins are spacious (at least 32m2) and feature a queen bed. A welcome drink and A-la-carte breakfast is included.
- Upgrades to one of their two private pool cabins might be available, just ask us!

Transport included:

We aim to assign the same driver for your entire honeymoon, with exception of parts outside Bali or short private transfers provided by activity operators (e.g. a short drive from your hotel to the rafting river might be provided by the rafting company).
- ✔️ Transfer between hotels and to and from all activities that are part of your itinerary.
- ✔️ Airport Drop Off on your last day (stop at souvenir shop possible).
- ✔️ Return Ferry Tickets with a premium operator between Padang Bai in Bali and the Gili Islands.
- ✔️ Two-way private Horse-cart to get you and your luggage from the Gili Islands harbour to your hotel.
Not included:
- ❌ Flights from your home country: As we have clients from all over the world, with wildly varying flight costs, the price of your flights between your home country and Bali is not included.
- ❌ Travel Insurance: While some adventure activities include insurance, full travel and/or medical insurance is not included. If you are not covered in Indonesia, we suggest arranging this with your local insurer.
- ❌ Visa (on arrival): As the costs for visa's vary widely between nationalities, we do not include this by default. However we are available for any questions and help with regards to visas, and provide a booklet with more information to all guests.
- ❌ Tourist Tax: A roughly 10$ tourist tax per person is now required to enter Bali. This is paid at the airport and not included in your package.
- ❌ All Inclusive Meals: While all breakfasts and some lunches and dinners are included, this is not an all-inclusive package. We do provide restaurant suggestions in each region you visit, and we can always help finding specific cuisines!
- ❌ 24/7 Private Driver: Your private driver is assigned for the itinerary agreed, and not standby 24/7. While it's fine to make a quick extra stop somewhere, additional driving will incur reasonable additional costs.

Can you arrange a surprise for my partner?
Flower decorations with specific texts, romantic dinners, a surprise helicopter trip... We are happy to help you organize any surprises for your partner. We’ll make sure your booklet will not mention this surprise and your driver won’t mention it, so it stays a secret till the end!
Can we combine multiple packages into a single honeymoon?
Yes, this might be possible. Let’s say you like one region from our Adventure package, and two regions from our Romance package, we might be able to come up with a combined itinerary. However there are some limitations, e.g. we never finish a honeymoon in the Gili Islands due to ferry reliability in combination with flights. Let’s just organize a call and figure this one out together!
Can you accommodate my allergy or dietary requirement?
Yes, we can. We have organized honeymoons for vegetarian and vegan couples, as well as couples where one of the people had gluten intolerance, seafood allergy or peanut allergy. We also have many clients that are looking to eat halal and avoid alcohol. Do note that while we will communicate your dietary requirements to all restaurants in Indonesian, we still suggest mentioning it on arrival as well - just to be 100% sure.
Is this package Halal?
Not by default, but we can make the required adjustments for you. We can take out any alcohol, and make sure all restaurants you visit have options without pork or lard. Do note that you will visit restaurants that also serve non-halal food or alcohol to other customers, and they may not all have a Halal certificate. However while Bali is majority Hindu, the country of Indonesia is majority Muslum, and every chef in Bali understands how to prepare Halal food. We had many guests ask us for real private pool options that provide proper privacy, and we are happy to help with that as well.
Can we book the hotels ourselves?
Unfortunately this is not possible when booking a package. We organize many experiences at the hotels, from flower decorations to massages and romantic dinners, which requires close coordination. We do understand you may have credit card points you would like to spend - maybe save them for another trip or see if you can get your flight upgraded and arrive extra well rested in Bali ;-).
Can this package start on any date?
Yes, you can arrive on Bali any day of the year and start your honeymoon! Lets schedule a free call and make this happen.
What type of car and driver will we get?
You’ll get one driver for your entire honeymoon, either Kadek, Made, Gading, or one of our other super friendly Balinese drivers. All of them are kind and helpful, speak decent English (not always fluent, but good enough to communicate well), and drive comfortable cars with air conditioning. Expect a car of the type Toyota Innova Reborn or similar, which fits around 6 people so should be more than enough for just the two of you!
We are not on a honeymoon. Can we still book this trip?
Sure! Even if you are not married yet, or if you are celebrating an anniversary, or just keen to spend quality time with your partner, you are welcome to book one of our honeymoon packages. You'll still be treated like honeymooners by your hotels and activity operators, often leading to extra perks - but no one will check if you're actually recently married ;-).
Can our kids join on this honeymoon package?
Our packages are designed for couples. Many of the hotels we work with are adult-only, and some activities are not suited for children. So unfortunately our answer is no, but possibly we can help through our custom planning service.
We are an LGBT+ Couple. Is this package suitable for us?
We welcome guests of all sexual orientations, and only work with hotels and partners that do so as well. While Indonesia does not recognize gay marriage, the people of Bali are extremely tolerant, and our team is happy to do anything within our means to make you feel safe and welcomed. What Visa do I need for Bali?
Many passports qualify for Visa on Arrival at the airport, but in order to skip the lines we suggest arranging your Indonesian Visa in advance. For some passports, Indonesia always require applying in advance. Fill the form here to find out (choose your country, then select “general” as your purpose and “tourism” as your sub purpose).
What is the best time to come to Bali?
Our favorite months are April and May, as the island is not so crowded, more affordable and beautifully green after the wet season. However while June-September are more busy, this is the dry season and the weather is usually very good, sunny every day. The wet season generally runs from October to March, but has been unpredictably lately. Millions of people still visit Bali during the wet season (December is actually one of the most popular months to visit Bali), and people still have a great time. Most days in wet season it rains for an hour or so around the end of the afternoon, but you could get unlucky and run into consecutive days of rain (though this could even happen during dry season).
Is this honeymoon package all inclusive?
No. While all hotels, activities and transport are included, this package is not all-inclusive with all meals covered. All breakfast is included, as well as some lunches and dinners. Check the complete list above. In each region we will give suggestions for good places to have dinner.
Are flights included in the package?
No, flights are not included. As we have clients from all over the world, and flight prices differ a lot per region, we don’t include flights by default.

Fair question! We realize it's not a minor step to trust a company in another country to organize something as important and special as your honeymoon. Which Payment Methods do you accept and when do I have to pay?
We require 50% upfront to secure your hotels. The second half is required 45 days before your arrival in order for us to organize everything else, from activities to dining. We accept multiple payment methods.
Option 1 - International Bank Transfer (WIRE).
This option is the cheapest, as you would just pay your local bank fees and we can receive multiple currencies like US Dollar or Euro directly.
Option 2 - Credit Card (Visa or Mastercard only).
We will charge you the fair rate in Indonesian Rupia. Do note the processor will add a 2.5% fee, making this option more expensive than the Wire Transfer.
Are Travel and Health Insurance included?
No, insurance is not included. We recommend all couples to make sure with their insurer that they are covered in Indonesia, both travel insurance for unforeseen circumstances like cancelled flights or lost luggage, as well as medical coverage.
Do you offer refunds if we (have to) cancel our trip?
Unfortunately we cannot do that, as we pay the hotels immediately, we cannot offer refunds. We suggest arranging travel insurance to protect yourself against unforeseen circumstances. For activities we do offer refunds in case of weather cancellations. Read our terms and conditions here.
